Chapter 46 : VS Magical Creature

As the strongest witch in history I somehow ended up being feared so much that I’m all alone. So I figured I’d buy a cute girl slave and ask her for all kinds of things

The magical creature before me was pulsating constantly, its form continuously shifting and deforming.

“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”

I couldn’t tell where the voice was coming from.

The monster, roaring in front of me, extended its body towards me, and I couldn’t even pinpoint its source.

“…!”

I swung the sword in my hand at it.

“It can be cut, I suppose.”

Though my strike wasn’t particularly powerful, it sliced through with surprising ease. Its body wasn’t all that hard.

“…Troublesome.”

However, it seemed the creature in front of me had regenerative abilities, as the severed parts began to regrow instantly, launching another fierce assault at me.

“Really… troublesome…!”

Among the most annoying opponents in battle are those with regeneration abilities.

Dealing with them is such a pain… It was the same when I wiped out a group of monsters in one fell swoop.

“…This is starting to irritate me.”

As I continued to hack away at the chunks of flesh the creature kept extending towards me, memories of past frustrations surfaced. I began channeling my irritation into amplifying my magic power.

Having fought it long enough to understand its patterns somewhat, I kicked off the ground and closed the distance between us in an instant.

“Disappear.”

With that, I unleashed rapid swings of my sword, empowered by my magically enhanced strength, slicing the creature into tiny pieces.

“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”

But from that minced state, the creature began to regenerate again.

“Up to this point, it’s going as expected. Now, with this kind of magic… maybe I can take it down?”

To deal the finishing blow, I activated my spell, unleashing beams of light from all directions, calibrated specifically to annihilate the creature.

“Oh… it didn’t work?”

I had fully analyzed the magical structure of its body and crafted a spell designed to dismantle it… but perhaps I’m losing my touch?

And I’m not even close to being thirty yet.

“W-What is that thing!? What… what kind of monster is that!?”

“Wha—!?”

What should I do now?

As I pondered this, I heard Tia’s voice reach my ears.

It was futile to try ignoring her words while facing a monster right in front of me, but despite the danger, I reflexively turned my gaze toward her.

“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”

“Eek!?”

“E-Etana!?”

And that moment of distraction proved fatal.
