Chapter 43 : Prosperity

As the strongest witch in history, I somehow ended up being feared so much that I’m all alone. So, I figured I’d buy a cute girl slave and ask her for all kinds of things

Even on the first day, I was able to make quite a bit of money.

The name of the witch that I possess.

That day, even I was astonished by it.

The night of such a day, after leaving the orphanage and spending the night at the same inn with Tia, the next day came.

“Is this the witch’s stall…!”

“What kind of things are being sold?”

“H-hihi… If I analyze the magic tools used by the witch and figure out how they work… Then my reputation will reach the heavens…”

Furthermore, I was shown just how impactful my own name could be.

“Could I ask you to handle the register? Is now a good time?”

“Y-yes! Right away!”

“Hmm… This is nice too. But I can’t decide on that one either.”

“C-could this really be a magic tool!? H-how much wisdom must be packed into this… It’s a work of art!”

“Is this item already sold out?”

“Oh! We still have stock! Let me restock it right away…!?”

Help borrowed from the children at the orphanage.

There were so many customers coming in that not even a group of children could handle them all.

Even though we expanded the shop and hired more people, it wasn’t enough, and the line stretched even longer than yesterday.

On top of that, various kinds of customers visited the store. The workload had doubled. It truly made me feel guilty for not being able to help directly… So I tried my best to contribute by diligently restocking items.

“Gah! Isn’t this supposed to be the witch’s stall? Why are all these goods so lackluster!? What’s going on here!? These are just everyday tools that make life slightly easier… Things that any servant could manage! Don’t you have anything better!? Is this really the witch’s stall!?”

“Really? Are you sure we can display all of the witch’s magic tools without restrictions? You have things like wands that can change terrain, right?”

“Oh! Indeed we do. Such items should rightfully belong in the hands of someone noble like me, who comes from a lineage of aristocrats—”

“You’re saying there are hundreds, thousands of similarly powerful items lying around, but are you sure you want to scatter them across the world without holding back?”

“I was mistaken. I sincerely apologize.”

And then, whenever troublemakers appeared causing scenes, Tia would firmly handle them, forcing them to apologize… My magic tools, it turns out, are capable of making even THE corrupt nobles bow down in submission.

Isn’t it amazing that my tools can slap some sense into those arrogant nobles who think they can control everything in this world as they please? Doesn’t that sound incredible?
