Chapter 57 : Request for Cooperation

The Homeless Camper Wants to Live Leisurely in a Dungeon ~Even Dangerous Deep-Layer Monsters Are Just Ingredients to Me~

“……That’s not something that’s mandatory, right?”

The Dungeon Association might request cooperation from dungeon explorers, but they shouldn’t have the authority to enforce anything. After all, no one else has the right to decide whether someone enters a dungeon where their life is on the line.

“Yes, of course. Participation is entirely up to you as an explorer. We’ll send the request to your contact information, and if Master Higedarma finds our proposal agreeable, we would be grateful for your cooperation. Of course, we will keep our requests to a minimum, and should you choose to cooperate, rest assured we will prepare a generous reward.”

“…I understand. I’ll decide whether or not to cooperate based on the content, but go ahead and send over the request for now.”

“Thank you very much. Then, once again, Master Higedarma, thank you for taking the time to come here today. We look forward to working with you in the future.”

“Yes, likewise.”

Mr. Momotake extended his hand, so I shook it. I don’t know what he’s really thinking inside, but at least it seems like he doesn’t intend to do anything immediately, which is somewhat reassuring.

Still…a cooperation request, huh? Maybe I’ll consider it if the irregular monster turns out to be particularly lucrative…

“…So, that’s how things ended with the person from the Dungeon Association. For now, it doesn’t seem like the entire association has been cooperating with Nijino.”

“At the very least, I’m glad none of the three got punished. @Kechaler”

“Seriously, while I wasn’t around, this whole thing happened…? I knew there were some troublesome matters going on behind my back, but this is like 10 billion times worse than I imagined!? @XYZ”

“Indeed, it’s like something straight out of a manga, w. Helping twin top idol streamers and suddenly becoming famous~ www. @TantanTanukiNoKin”

After finishing the discussion with the Dungeon Association, I returned to my house in the dungeon’s safe zone, started a limited broadcast, and reported everything to the listeners.

There’s always the possibility that someone could be watching this limited broadcast, but I’ve decided not to worry about it anymore. If anyone could watch deleted past streams, well, it’d be too late by now anyway. Moving forward, though, I’ll avoid talking about anything truly compromising during these broadcasts and ask my viewers not to comment on sensitive topics either.

I also invited XYZ to this limited broadcast. It seems XYZ missed watching the last stream about Kana and Runa due to bad timing, but they’ve been a long-time listener of my channel.

“However, the fact that the Dungeon Association guy didn’t push further actually feels suspicious… Didn’t you register your personal info when you signed up as an explorer? @RootBeer”

“That’s true. I expected them to use that as a reason to make various demands. @MoonKnight”

“When registering as an explorer, we provide personal info such as contact details and address. I thought they’d definitely bring something up about that, especially the address, but they didn’t mention it at all.”

Based on discussions I had with listeners beforehand, I assumed they’d ask questions about my current lack of a fixed address and possibly propose some alternative conditions.

I figured they’d already confirmed my address after realizing they couldn’t reach me, so I expected them to say something about it…

“It’s almost scarier that they didn’t say anything at all… @MoonKnight”

“They might be investigating different things quietly, planning to dump all your personal info later. @TantanTanukiNoKin”

“But it’s also possible they’re genuinely just seeking a cooperative relationship. ~ @WAKABA”

“We can’t judge that yet. For now, given how widespread the news about Nijino has become, it’s likely the Dungeon Association will take some action soon, and we’ll need to wait and see what they do. @†PassingCamper†”

…As for Momotake, I can’t say much at this stage. On the surface, he seems to be trying to build a good relationship, but he’s the type of person who could be thinking something completely different internally.

Well, considering my past experiences, maybe I’m just naturally more suspicious of people from the start.

“For now, we’ll stay cautious while waiting for the Dungeon Association’s next move.”

“Given the lack of evidence, it’s not like we can afford to outright oppose the Dungeon Association, so that sounds reasonable. @Kechaler”

“Yeah. All we can do for now is investigate that matter and try to gather allies through dungeon streaming. @RootBeer”

“At least the most dangerous part—Nijino being around—is over, so that’s a relief. @†PassingCamper†”

“For now, though, the focus should be on the streaming channel… gotta be careful not to slip up! Honestly, this situation escalated so fast, I’m still trying to catch up, lol. @XYZ”
